I don't understand religion. People go to church, and say that they believe in God or Jesus or whatever and then they only think about themselves. They don't follow what they say that they are. Religion is most cases is a load of crap, because it only means something when others get something in return. They may volunteer, but only because ( Read more... )

religion is the leading cause to all major wars.

sad too seeing all it asks us to do is be happy and learn to love regardless of differences, but is it not human nature to destroy each other.

Don't mean to be mean. That's not what I mean at all. To be mean. But anyway (although you seem to be MUCH more giving than most) I must admit that religion has set a standard that no one can meet anymore. When do you stop giving? When you have given so much that you are just like those you are giving to you? In theory that is what should happen, everyone should be equal. But in reality, that isn't going to happen. Oh, now I look really mean. K, gonna stop digging my own grave any deeper.

*shrug* I changed.

A Christian is one who has admitted they are a sinner and asked for forgiveness and claims Jesus as their Lord and savior.

Biblically, that's what makes you a christian, nothing else.

As for doing good things, the spirit of the Lord lends the believer to want to do good for others and help one another.
