wow.....there are few things about live journal that I like more than when "some self-important twat climbs onto their livejournal soapbox and begins to rant about certain things that they deem worthy of the world's readership".

Well written! Don't let anyone tell you you bitch too much. Rage is good for the soul (when it doesn't slowly corode the fibre of your being, that is).

ha!
i am really not so rage-ful. i am usually a lady who keeps here ire to herself, but there's something about the world of livejournal that brings it out of me.
but it's always a toss-up. what does one write about on one's blog? what they ate for breakfast? the spat they had with their BFF (OMG)? their inherent self-loathing?
i choose rage.

at least it's not isn't pitiful, right?

If I ran the world, I would ban ugg boots. They are gross and unappealing...and gather street grime easily. They are just one more reason for me to not have any female friends.

As for the DVD issue, I can relate. However, it is not often that I see a record store that carries extensive collections of my favourite music styles anyhow (industrial/jazz/goth/new wave/bluegrass/etc). Hell, it's even difficult to find a store with a good Tom Waits collection...and where am I to get my Rammstein fix? I have Mutter and Live Aus Berlin, for Christ sakes.

Screw stores in the RW. I'd rather shop on the interweb.

Here's my rule with HMV etc.: They're fine for Christmas shopping, classics, and sales. For everything else, it's Soundscapes if it must be new (or occasionally Sam's), and Sonic Boom or Zoinks or Penguin or some other used place if it needn't be, and maybe Rotate This if I really feel like going out of my way and sorting through some not-exceptionally-well-organised stuff (though Soundscapes' selection is generally better, in my opinion ( ... )

oh, i usually hit up sonic boom, since they're so close, but i had been trying to find a copy of the teaches of peaches since the girls in studio had scratched up my old copy as if it were intended for use as a coaster.

good old amazon- gets me everything i want to my mailbox, without the messy inconvenience of having to deal with actual people. ;)

The only thing about those boots that I like are the fact that they look really comfy, but why do they have to be furry? With random pom poms hanging off? Really now.
