So I still haven't heard from TG. Today is kinda the last day, too (they said they'd let us know by the end of this week and hey look, it's Friday! :p). Chin up, most of us pay our dues with this economy and our first job or 2 or 3 ... but it serves us well in the end.

Hit the apps hard after you pass, most employers won't want you until you're licensed and a sure thing.

A lot of my class got their first dream job or a good job because they knew someone in the hospital, the envy was really painful. But I worked myself from the nursing home up to a level 1 trauma and just had a fantastic review from my manager this morning. And the best part is I earned every advancement I made with my career, no one handed it to me.

Thanks, Gabe... I appreciate the pep talk. :) Any tips for NCLEX prep that don't involve a Kaplan review course? I cannot afford that noise. (And I test in about 2 1/2 ish weeks).

You know, the number one rule is ... do well in school the whole time and you'll pass. No review book can get you to pass the exam, but if you were paying attention instead of skipping classes and chatting in the back of the room, you should be just fine. Honestly, Kaplan was great and I put myself in debt with that course, but it was worth it ( ... )

You know that I know exactly how you're feeling. It's probably hard to imagine now but something perfect will come along for you when you least expect it, and maybe the other place just fell behind with getting through the applicants. Best of luck to you!
