A is for Apology
Freddie Weasley stepped carefully up the stairs leading up to the fifth floor. He winced as he skipped over the squeaky stair. His easy-going father was truly a sleeping lion terrible to behold when roused as Freddie’s sore bum attested.
He reached the top of the stairs and gently opened the door. He sat next to the ginger-haired figure in the bed and whispered in his ear. “I really didn’t mean to hurt you, Ronnie. Me and George, we were just playing a joke, I mean we didn’t really…we didn’t know what it would do. Dad said we could have…killed you. I mean, you’re a whinging snot-nosed brat and all but I don’t want you to die. I guess…I guess that’s all. G’night Ronnie.”
Freddie crept from the room and back down the stairs as his little brother slept on, totally oblivious to Freddie’s apology.
B is for Broomstick

B is for Broomstick
Ginny Weasley stomped out of the house. “Stupid boys!” she muttered to herself. How dare they tell her girls couldn’t play Quidditch! Hadn’t they seen the pictures of Mum as Chaser for Gryffindor in her school days? She snorted to herself. They probably could care less. She knew that Bill and Charlie knew better, but they weren’t around.
She threw open the shed. She squinted in the dim light as she sought her prize. AHA! There was a row of old brooms lined up against the back wall. She picked up the smallest one. It still looked a little large for her. She hesitated a moment, then hiked it over her shoulder. She left the shed, walking with a determined air. Ginny was determined to show her idiot brothers that she could play just as well as any boy.
She kicked off the ground. With a swoop and a whoosh Ginny was flying. She never saw her mother wipe her hands on her apron, look out the kitchen window and smile.
There's two today 'cause I should have actually started yesterday.
