brainwashed patriotism

My mum bought me a red Giodano t-shirt with a spiral of text saying I love Singapore...I love Singapore...I love Singapore some of you probably have an idea of which one I mean. I've spent most of the last decade away from Singapore too. And I am INTENDING to get US citizenship (some day, some how). But yesterday, I found myself telling Brent that Singapore was a beautiful place, and that I was a little homesick.

I don't think we'll ever really lose our connection to the place we grew up.

You know, for a country with as few resources as us, and with as low a population, it WOULD seem like a good idea to keep as many people citizens, and connected, as possible.

Once I give up S'porean citizenship, my CPF will be taken out too. Isn't it better just to let us have dual citizenship?
