It sometimes feels like I'm never satisfied unless my schedule is completely full... maybe it gives me something to look forward to. I've been putting in a lot of OT lately... stepping in for a colleague who was sick for a week. I wonder if I'm overworked... been thinking of changing jobs. But I love my job and my colleagues and my workplace. Why

interesting that i'm reading a book now called All Men Are Mortal by Simone de Beauvoir. the protagonist is an ambitious medivael ruler who took an immortality elixir and therefore suffered a curse for centures infinite and for him nothing is urgent or important whereas for a mortal everything is significant because of the irreversibility of life.
