Husband & Wife Week
Ok. Was going to just post this to Twitter, but while I feel it's not BAD, it IS inappropriate for younger friends I have. I have to keep that in mind as I post. But I also want to share this because 1) I want to boast in my husband's and my love and 2) it's ok to discuss among adults and we shouldn't be ashamed to discuss such things.
So what I was going to say: "sees some are calling this Husband & Wife week. Who else to marry than your best friend who also makes your heart flutter and lust ignite."
Yep. I said lust. I believe lust for your spouse is important in marriage. You should lust after your mate. It's a lust born of love more than hormones and chemicals. It's a lust built of loving someone so much, you have to express it to them in ways beyond any other form of affection. In a way special, unique and reserved just for them. It's an intimacy beyond physical and emotional to the very depths of which we cannot understand. Lust alone creates emptiness. Lust coming forth from love creates something miraculous and magical between two people and I'm blessed to have it with someone so awesomely .... awesome. :) He and I truly do have an epic love.
With him, lust and sex can be explained in such purity, I cannot see how they are "dirty" or inappropriate.
