Ok - Bay City went well and I'm really enjoying working on the fire & whip show w/Dave. We get the audience's attention, but I think we can certainly do better with a complete rewrite and a theme. We are coming up on the Swordplay extravaganza(?) this Saturday and I 'm feeling decently prepared. Feedback from Chris last night was really great and he ahd no technical or interpretive issues. Heven't posted in a long time, but today just merits it. My grandmother died this morning at 8:30 and, yes, I was really close to her. It is going to be really tough and my mother in law is struggling. All I can say is I'm sad and happy because she was in so much pain and was never going to get any better ( Read more... )

It's finally the weekend and I really need it. This is the first week back after I was in AZ for the last two weeks. It was great out there, but boy - HOT! HOT! I'm not kidding - 106 for more than one day. I was out there to see the Dalai Lama for a three day teaching. It was sooo amazing! Yes I know... you are all sooo excited! Right :) Well, New York is New York. It was perfect weather (sunny and in the low 80's) and the Palace Hotel is in the perfect location in Manhattan.
