LJ Idol: Trolley Problem

Feb 21, 2017 14:12

Ain't that enough?
I turned your dreams into lightning
Ain't that enough?
I held the world back for you
Ain't that enough?
I loved you past the point of dyin'
Ain't that enough
Of me
For you?

I had to learn this lesson roughly four years ago. It's a hard one, but necessary.

Thank you for sharing.

Very well written. I loved this analogy.A lesson every woman forgets when she is in love. Great job! Thanks for the reminder :)

I really love how you interpreted the prompt.

This is a very hard lesson to learn, too.

This is amazing. I felt like you were speaking to me, and I wish I had read it 25 years ago when I was in a relationship like that. I would have left him sooner. You should share this far and wide. It could do a lot of good.

Well-written. It was good that you identified this strange dilemma as "romantic" because love does come in different flavours and degrees of sacrifice. I also liked that you mentioned fairy tale endings...because it seems this is something the human race has been trying to address for a long, long time.
