Feeling better

Well I feel acomplished today, so pretty much all my negitive emotions are gone. I replaced all the brakepads and rotors on the civ. I didn't realize how wore out the rear ones were(E-brake, since I only use it when parking and drifting) but it was metal on metal. :( The front ones were pretty wore, and one of the bolts was stuck on the front ( Read more... )

Which is why you E-brake to lock up the back wheels, loss of traction equals sway. After swaying you oversteer to change the dirrection of your momentum. You can definately drift a FWD. I've had this argument too many times. That's also why you usually over inflate the back tires. It's alot easier to loose traction with a firm tire. The diffrence in a FWD and RWD car in a drift is, early on the the drift the RWD is at a greater angle, the FWD hits a greater angle usually later in the drift(as the front wheels will pull it streight regardless)

The back is fishtailed more on a FWD since it's not providing your momentum.

You too can drift your civic, Britt. :P the only mods I have to my car are harder springs(still stock suspension otherwise). The only downside is that you tend to break idler arms.(I've gone through 3 in the past year. all back right)
