I have to agree with sweetgelato. I don't think friendship is meant to be easy. It takes effort on both parts to make it work. It does need to be balanced, though. Usually when things go south, it's because one or the other is, for whatever reason, not making the same effort as the other. Both friends have to be willing to work at it for it to work. Take, for example. us, actually. We've had ups and downs, but after... well... AFTER (you know what)... we wouldn't be where we are now if we hadn't both been willing to make the effort to reach out to one another and make things right. (and then I would be very sad, indeed ♥)
