Rose was running as fast as her legs would carry her, finally reaching the TARDIS. She fumbled with the key, finally reaching up and unlocking the door. He burst in, panting hard. "Doctor!"
He furrowed his brow as he heard the TARDIS door and the voice. It wasn't possible. It had to be an effect of the Radiation. He didn't turn around, not for another few seconds
When he did, he turned slow, not expecting to actually see anything. But as he laid eyes on her, his own widened in disbelief. "Rose?"
Rose smiled and ran to him. "The Doctor...er...the other Doctor helped me get back to you." she said, though her smile faded after a moment. "What's wrong?"
He opened his mouth to speak but then closed it. He was going to tell her that she shouldn't be here. That it wasn't possible. But if anyone could figure out how, it would be him. But why? Why would she give up being able to grow old with him?
But this exact moment in time was not the best for that conversation. He simply forced a smile, like he always did when something was wrong and should his head. "Absolutely nothing! Look at you!"
He wouldn't touch her though, not right now. Not with the Radiation running through him. The TARDIS doors slammed shut, and he instantly started dashing around.
Rose was back, He was going to start regenerating any second, and he couldn't let that happen. As he started to dash about, and the TARDIS started to make its signature noise as she moved, he started to glow ever so slightly.
Rose blinked at him, smiling just a little. Without thinking, she ran to him, throwing her arms around him. "I missed you." she whispered, holding onto him tightly.
"Well, the other Doctor noticed that I...wasn't really happy. So he told me he'd help me get back to you. He didn't tell me how...I mean, I guess he tried to, but I just nodded at the right times." she explained, her hands still on his forearms. "How have you been? You look...tired."
He moved some hair out of her face as he looked down at her. "What are you talking about? Never better!" Okay, clearly a lie. Even though the radiation was gone, he still had to recover. But he didn't want to tell her that, didn't want her to worry.
"I know. It's okay." she whispered, trying not to cry. Despite her wishes, however, tears began trickling down her face. She furiously wiped them away, looking back up at him. "...are you really alright?"
"I'll be fine." He looked down at her reassuringly. "I just expelled 500,000 watts of radiation out of my body, there is a little damage but nothing that wont heal."
"The Master came back. So did Gallifray and all the other Time Lords....I sent them back. All of them. They are all gone now...for good." Or so he really hoped. For all he knew it was part of there plan.
