I have played football for almost eight years, and i have learned a lot from it. one of these things is that it is only when we relentlessly persist towards a common goal, as a focused team, that we will ever achieve our true excellence. In order to do this we must first reach deep inside ourselves and find what it is that drives us to believe in

I think that is a sensible way to look at life in any angle, and it is not only learned from football. Anything that requires meeting a common goal needs that sort of stance. I think anyone who works on a team of any kind, be it athletic, artistic or acedemic, needs that sort of drive.
