lets see how short i can make this! yesterday morning was a muddy woodsy dog walk..aari did her usual thing, and at one point was a little bit limpygimpy and started licking her foot...i saw no open wound, pushed pulled pressed and wiggled, and she didnt seem to be in any pain, but she was still a little gimpy, and kept lifting up that front L leg

but you don't know what actually happened to cause it? it sounds like it got so bad so quickly..

yeah, it was amazing how quickly it got that bad...i dont know if she stepped on something, or if something took a swipe at her paw or what...we just got home from the vet for a check and it doesnt look like theres much on the underside of her paw...no hole or anything even from where the pus was coming out...the top has a definite hole in it, which he said may need stitched...but we have to make sure it continues to drain and not be infected before they can close it up...still a tiny bit of swelling, but really minimal compared to yesterday.

Aww! Poor Aari (and you!!!) I hope she recovers well and easily, and that you get some much-needed rest!
