You're not going tell your mom? seriously, don't you think she'll notice that your gone for several days? (how long will you be gone).
And i still think/wish you could do this via email/skype/pictures, or bring someone from one of those organizations to you. This is way scarier than going to Isreal.

I know you will be careful. i'm still allowed to worry. I'll be your mom (in my worrying).

Of course I'm going to tell my mom! But I just haven't yet. I'll be gone 10 days, really 11 with travel time and time changes.

We'll be sending back emails and posting blog postings on the JWW website. I'll actually have a cell phone, to which you will be able to text (or even call if you want). I've been talking to the UN quite a bit about security, and the cities are really pretty secure. We'll be fine.

But yeah, it's scarier than Israel, by far.
