You know, I'm a Presbyterian, and I feel so disconnected to Holy Week. Aside from Palm Sunday and Holy Friday and Easter, we don't do too much (some churches choose to, but it's very much a church-by-church decision). I kinda think that we are missing out. Holy week should be a time of reverence, of both sober reflection and child-like hope.
I start seminary in the Fall, and I wonder if other Protestants miss the ritual and emotional connection of religious practice that Catholics have. I wonder this especially at holiday time, when I feel that my congregation doesn't feel deep down in their toes how awesome God is. You know?
