At the beginning of every marriage (or now-a-days cohabitation), every couple has to sit down and make some difficult decisions... in the form of chores.  How do you divy up the housework and maintain order in something that's so new to both of you?  Here's how our conversation went:

Me: I hate to empty the dishwasher. I don't want to do it.

I would totally do the same thing out of what my dad calls GP. General Principle. I am stubborn too. But since I do all of the chores around the inside of the house, I actually would settle for any compromise. Ahh to dream......:)

Nah. I feel like I need to do everything since I'm home so much more than he is. He's very good about helping out, though, especially when we have people coming over. I'm horrible with keeping up with the mess. I'm always distracted with writing.

Yes, guys do that. It's called passive-aggressive behavior. Not that PA behavior is limited to guys, but when it comes to house work, guys are really good at engaging in PA in order to get out of the work!
