One of my girls just gave it to me for my birthday, haven't started it yet.
I'm debating re-reading the original first - I had to read it in 10th grade, but don't remember a thing - probably just read the CliffNotes actually... What do you recommend?
Very cool, thanks - I figured re-reading the original was the way to go. No attention span problems here with books, and I really tend to go out of my way to read a book before I see its movie anyway. To tell the truth, I have a terrible habit of falling asleep in slow movies (or, I'll admit before somebody calls me out, even not-so-slow!), so books are much more useful to me.
I've been downloading classic books from Project Gutenberg to read on handhelds at work while I, uh, debug core dumps, as it were... So now I've got my next one in the queue: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/1342
