I know I'm a bit of a beginner, but I like the way this one turned out and I remembered to save the steps, so here's my first attempt at a tutorial.

Go from this:
to this
or this

In PS CS2, Curves, Selective Color.

Tut in

Start with your base.
Lighten, sharpen, whatever you want to do.

Layer - New Adjustment Layer - Curves
RGB: 175/185; 109/109; 56/50

Layer - New Adjustment Layer - Hue/Saturation
Saturation: +14

Layer - New Adjustment Layer - Selective Color
Reds: -32, +5, +23
Yellows: -56, 0, +44
Cyans: +63, +6, -47, +22
Blues: +51, -58, -44, +33
Neutrals: +9, 0, -7

All done! Now, to make the second image, copy the all above settings, then add:

Layer - New Adjustment Layer - Selective Color
Reds: -22, 0, +30
Yellows: 0, 0, -32
Neutrals: -19, -27, -39, +14

And done again. Enjoy!
