Wowe! LiveJournal has become a gigantical billboard for sites like Snorg Tees! Now *my* LiveJournal can be "hip" and "with it" too in this consumption-obsessed culture

EWWW environmental studies ::shudder:: im sure it will be typical umass jumping on the politically correct bandwagon green this green that and very little science. I bet you have to watch that effing al gore propagandumentary ewwwwww
It pretty much is "green this, green that, UMBe green."
As much as I agree that we could be being less abusive to our homeworld, I'd like to learn the science behind environmental studies rather than be damned for having been born a US citizen and for existing in the same continent as the most wasteful 2% of the world.
Yeeouch! Six! I always only took five max because I just knew that one extra would be the straw....
Man, good for you tackling six, though! You'll feel pretty awesome once that is through. I too cannot await the end of December, though I also fear it. As far as my future post-undergrad, it is an unknown. I am going to apply to teach English abroad and jobs at various Universities' English departments. I want to spend about a year working full time and be a regular person before jumping into grad school. I want a little break in between "poor" and "poor some more!"
i know but it's only a semester. worst case i will try and slack off hours at work if it becomes overwhelming.
i completely fear january. i have no idea what i'm going to do. i am applying for teach for america and nyc teaching fellows here in nyc for next fall. there is also the possibility of moving to london with mike's job, otherwise he will be switching jobs and it will either be boston, nyc or london. i can essentially work anywhere. i'm also going to look into teaching opportunities in london and will work on getting my masters if we end up moving there. one year masters. yay!
sounds like your planning is pretty sweet! any places in particular your applying for? which websites are you using? i havent started my search but i know i should be. ;p
Oh, man! Go to London! That is what I would do ;-)
I've been looking into various programmes but I've pretty much only really researched TOEFL, which requires taking an intensive course and exam for certification. Wasn't really what I had in mind.... Outside of that I've been slacking. I've got a few friends who taught English abroad with relative ease, so my thing is simply tapping them for info. Haha! I really want to go to Berlin, since I now know German, but I also would like to go to Japan or Dubai or somewhere. It'd be nice to go abroad for a little while.
