For some reason I found it totally uninteresting. I didn't have great expectations, but still hoped that I would like it more than I did. Ah well.
I generally ignore reviews, which is why I thought I'd at least somewhat enjoy it. Mixed reviews are generally a good sign that I might enjoy a film, but is not a definitive guideline for me.
I also really liked it. I thought the set up was painful, someo f the plot devices not so good, but the whole point was to set up a question that was interesting, and well explored. Good movie!
I'm glad you did, too!charlottesmtmsJune 24 2004, 10:20:55 UTC
It's still one I tend to watch, fairly often!
Part of the fun of M. Night Shyamalan's movies is that there are so many subliminal elements, that every time you watch one of his works, there's always something you catch, that was missed, the last viewing :-)
Actually, Signs was a terrible movie. There's only one way you could have liked it - that's how I know you slept through it. Smart girl.
Hey, chiquita, thanks for the support. y7u666666
Sorry - cat on the keyboard.
Anyway, yeah, things are finally looking up. Considering that we have moved, both gotten and lost two jobs before each finding a good but demanding one, lived with the inconsistent paychecks, done three emergency fixes on the car, blown the budget to go to Mexico, are in school, and are saving for a hella expensive upcoming semester ( all this in four months!)it's actually reasonable that the stress level has been unreal. I just tend to forget that when things get overwhelming.
Things seem brighter now, and having kind, thoughtful people out there sending good thoughts is a huge help.
