I've finally settled down on my plot and I'm furiously outlining and character sketching and watching the clock. I hope to have at least 5-8 kilobytes written before I go to sleep tonight, but I want to go to sleep comparatively early (1-2am) so I can get up for work in the morning.
I'm still waffling. (And yes, it's 2:22pm on Nov. 1st.) I decided not to do it some time ago, in deference to working on music. Some even suggested that I set myself a goal so that I could work alongside NaNo in some sense, and I've toyed with the idea of being done (the rough takes for) Peristalsis by the end of November. However, it's not really been happening, and I'm just sort of goofing off, playing video games, reading and relaxing in the meantime. I'm starting to get the prickles of the creative urge again, but no specific direction. The idea of doing NaNo is tempting, but since I don't have a story that I really want to write and I haven't edited or honed my last two NaNoNovels yet, it's feeling at the same time like a month-long spin of Minesweeper. (For me specifically, that is.)

Well, I should amend that for clarity's sake. I have written about a page already, and I'm going to crank out some more shortly.
Perhaps I should amend it further because -- shit, shit, I'm wasting words! I must flee back to the document!
