ATTN: PRIUS OWNERS (possible software bug)

CNN reported today that some Priuses have a software bug that causes the engine to die at highway speeds.

I know that several of the folks on my friends list have Priuses. We do too. Let's all make sure that we don't have buggy ones. (How? I don't know yet.)

My Prius had this hit last year. Engine died on the highway, but battery power still worked.

Healed itself after sitting parked for a few hours.
Happened again the next day, while on the way in for service.

They did a "software upgrade" and it hasn't happened since.

Ugh.

I don't need a mechanic, I need an IT department!
