In New Platz, New York, Mayor Jason West has begun issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

If you support Mayor West's decision, you might want to show your support by visiting New Platz's Chamber of Commerce and checking out some of the online websites. I think having something from New Platz would be pretty cool. I am considering purchasing some nature photograph notecards (bottom of the page) to send to my LGBT-positive friends. (Although I'm sure the pix aren't as good as yours, joedecker!) I also let Mayor West know that I was doing just that in my letter. If a bunch of people start buying things in the towns and cities where mayors stand up for civil rights, it might calm the fears of folks who think they might lose business because of the action.
