i remembered asking this hypothetical question to a straight female friend. what would be more painful: if her husband would leave her for another woman or for a man? she immediately replied, she would be greatly crushed if her husband would stray and find himself a mistress. to which i asked, what if he left you for a man?
she didnt reply.
the truth is it is never okay if our lover or spouse left us on the lurch but it happens. and whatever the reason, be it freedom, lost of love, third party or space aliens mixing up their brain, its never pretty. so no matter what reason he gives, its never going to be okay.
if i were given a chance and if my lover (if any in the future) is going to be completely honest when he leaves my door, i would rather that it would be freedom. if he left me for another guy, then thats betrayal and i dont like to be betrayed in anyway.
