Today Was The Day… - Chapter 5: Friday
“I don’t want to come home to an empty apartment; I want to come home to you.”
That was sentence that made Jaejoong move in permanently with Yunho. They decided not to sleep last night and spent it packing up Jaejoong’s things and moving them to Yunho’s place but he was tempted to move straight back out. Jaejoong felt his lips slipping into a pout as he thought about Yunho insisting on sleeping on the couch and that Jaejoong should sleep on his bed that they brought back with them and put in Yunho’s bedroom. Well, MY room, Jaejoong mentally corrected himself before sulking, but I want it to be OUR room! My bed is big enough for the two of us. I want to snuggle up to him and wake up to have him beside me.
Jaejoong gave a huff and purposely moved away from the bedroom door as he heard Yunho calling for him from the living room. Not answering you, idiot! How dense can you be?
“Jaejoong?” Yunho called as he poked his head round the door and walked in. “Why didn’t you answer me?”
“Didn’t hear you calling,” Jaejoong moodily replied as he folded his clothes away into the drawers.
Yunho stopped short as he noticed Jaejoong’s mood but could not work out what the cause was. He shrugged it aside and enveloped the shorter man from behind and felt hurt as Jaejoong tensed up. Yunho let go enough to turn Jaejoong around.
“What’s wrong?”
Jaejoong looked away from Yunho and the pout did not leave his lip. “Nothing.”
“Tell me, please.” Yunho whined out as he lifted a hand to Jaejoong’s face and stroked it with the back of his hand. “What’s wrong, little kitten?”
“Nothing,” Jaejoong responded as he knocked Yunho’s hand away and carried on putting clothes away.
Yunho sighed. “Is it because I rushed you and you’re having second thoughts? Are you tired? You should get some sleep.”
“It’s not that,” Jaejoong bit out the words angrily and threw a shirt at Yunho.
Yunho caught it and looked at Jaejoong calmly. “I don’t want to fight with you because I know we’re both tired and I don’t want to say something that will hurt you. I am going to the airport in two hours for the boys’ tour and I will be gone for two weeks, hopefully that will give you time to calm down. I have to leave now to tie up some loose ends at the studio. See you in two weeks.”
Yunho kissed Jaejoong on the cheek before picking up his luggage by the bedroom door and leaving the apartment.
“Damn you!” Jaejoong cursed as he threw a shoe at the door.
“Damn him!” Yunho swore as she slammed the car door shut behind him.
“Hyung, are you okay?”
“Yeah,” Yunho replied as he relaxed his hands. “How’s your ankle?”
“Healing nicely. The doctor reckons I might be able to dance later on in the tour.”
“That’s good but I’ll be watching if you make any wrong moves.”
“Dong Woon hyung, I don’t even know what I’ve done wrong.” Yunho vented to his friend as the older man took tour photos of the boys. “It hurts so much not hearing his voice. I need to talk to him; he knows I hate texting but he refuses to answer my calls!”
Dong Woon chuckled. “Ah, the path of young love never did run smooth.”
“Old man, stop quoting from other people!” Jeong Sook admonished as she hit her husband over the head. “It does not make you wise!”
Dong Woon stuck his tongue out at her as Jeong Sook carried on following the boys and he lit a cigarette. He took a puff before he answered Yunho. “Have a think. You were both wrong in this aspect; Jaejoong for not telling you what he wants and you for not understanding him.”
“I’m not a mind-reader!”
“I know but you’re the one that suggested him moving in and most people would think they’d be sharing the bed.”
“Oh.” Yunho said as it finally sank in.
Yunho still wore the clothes he was in when he arrived back at the aiport and did not bother taking his shoes off when he clambered into bed to cuddle up to Jaejoong. Jaejoong frowned as he slowly woke up to find himself in Yunho’s arms. He looked at the younger man’s face and his frown deepened as he noticed the dark circles and puffy eyes.
Jaejoong kissed his forehead. “You’re forgiven. Welcome back.”
Yunho smiled in his sleep.
Today was the day I realised I was in love with you...
