In Eastern Central Louisiana. If you look on a political map of Louisiana, I live by Leesville, which is halfway between Shreveport and Lake Charles (North and South, respectively), and West of Alexandria, by about forty miles.

Which places me squarely in the middle of the swamp. Fucking terrif. In relation to New Orleans, I'm about 235 miles Northwest of it. It's about a four/four-and-a-half hour drive.

Sorry to not post on a more relavant entry, but the others are kind of old so this one is it. Happy belated birthday, I guess it being late doesn't mean much but best wishes anyway. It is sad to hear about your grandmother, my condolances. I wish you and your family well. -Derek

Thank you; I'm glad to hear from you. Likewise, I'm sorry that I haven't kept in touch as much as I should have; with the deployment quickly approaching, I have to fight to stay from going to Afghanistan, which takes up more of one's time than you would imagine.

Regardless, I will be home for Thanksgiving; I'd like to see you then, if possible.
