I know, kiddo.

I've been ok. Going through a lot of field time, and it's driving me up the wall. Sorry I haven't been in touch as much.

=/ I wish I were stationed at Fort Drum.

do you guys run opfor? or are you just rotating through for training?

I've done OPFOR before, since one of the 509th PIR battalions was deployed when I first got here, but we're doing a training rotation. Every now and again, we get to be civilians on the battlefield too. Whenever the whole box isn't getting used, we go out for short rotations.

this one is gonna be four days long. Oh, how useful. We get it because 1 Ranger Batt is gonna be there, and they ain't using the whole box.

The only cool thing about being at Fort Polk is that you get to see all your buddies from other units one last time before they deploy.
