PERSONALITY: Constantly sporting a sullen expression, Linda generally looks more or less fine, albeit a bit gloomy.

And then something sets her off. Maybe you have a hair out of place or you're wearing wire-frame glasses or you aren't keeping your collar popped. It doesn't really matter. Whatever it is, she is going to find some way to complain about it, some way to insult you, and the more you struggle, the longer she keeps going.

Up until you threaten her, anyway. Even if she says that she's capable of doing x in y way in z amount of time, it's all more or less a lie. She can threaten other people just fine, but the second someone does the same to her, she backs down; all she has to hurt others with are words, and loathe as she is to admit it, she's nothing but a coward.

Unlike a common schoolyard bully, however, simply ignoring her takes time to work. Though she is somewhat smart, she's unable to wrap her brain around the idea of someone not getting angry over the things that she does, and tries even harder to get a reaction out of the person she's attempting to torment. Eventually, she's bound to give up, leaving her frustrated for a while afterwards... not that she'd admit that something like that was the reason why, of course.

And finally, in accordance with my apping pattern very much like the common schoolyard bully, she just frontin' like she fly. In actuality, she acts the way she does because she wants attention. She doesn't care if it's bad in nature or not, as long as she's being paid attention to. However, the attention can't be too positive; she's unused to being treated kindly, and lashes out upon being complimented. It isn't that she hates compliments, exactly-- she just doesn't know how to react to them.

BACKGROUND: Once upon a time, there was a magical land by the name of Wisconsin. In a particularly magical city there, there lived a particularly magical family by the name of the Faulkners. Though they had no relation to the writer, all three of them possessed great artistic talent. The mother was a skilled artist. The father was a skilled artist. Their daughter Margarete was the most skilled between the three of them. The father contacted an art dealer, and the family hobby turned into a family trade of sorts.

When Margarete was 5, the mother became pregnant with their second child. Another girl, also given a floral themed name. Rosalinda had a happy childhood initially, as small children often do, and was coddled by both of her parents. However, when she was 9 and Margarete was 14, they expected their youngest child to be able to churn out beautiful art like the rest of them could. Of course, she couldn't.

To Rosalinda, it almost seemed as if they started to love her less after that day. Yes, they kept up appearances in public, at PTA meetings, anywhere else people could see them, but the second they were away from prying eyes, they seemed to treat her much less lovingly. Instead, they focused on Margarete. Margarete, who excelled in art. Margarete, who excelled in school. Margarete, who had managed to catch the eyes of all the boys at her middle school to her father's disdain. There didn't seem to be anything that Margarete couldn't excel at, in fact. Whether it was in art or in school or in love or anything, Rosalinda always came second, if even that.

She's pretty certain that she started to hate all of them at that point. When Rosalinda was 10 and *~*Margarete*~* was 15, she'd decided to do whatever she wanted. She'd started skipping her painting lessons and wearing what she wanted and going to bed when she wanted and if they complained she'd. She'd yell and insult them because it was their fault that she was acting that way in the first place. By the time she had turned 12, her family sent her to live with her aunt all the way in Inaba, who more or less took custody of the child happily.

Aunt Cecily was terribly spineless. Rosalinda hung around her long enough to get a proper grasp of the language, all the while continuing to be as unruly as before, because she knew that the woman wouldn't protest. Cecily was unable to have children of her own and was just happy to have someone around, even if that person was insulting her every chance she got.

WHY IS YOUR CHARACTER HERE?: She lives in Inaba, but is more or less there to piss people off. Fun times.
