Sixth Week, Saturday (10/11/2003): Peri's journal.

There are plans for later, of course, but fro right now, she's enjoying a moment of quiet and solitude, thinking about the events of recent days. Tommy's in his room, working on some new music when Peri comes by. The door's open, and he sees her in the doorway and smiles; "Hey darlin'!"

Peri beams and comes in, slipping behind him and his guitar to give him a hug and steal a lingering kiss. "Hi, handsome. Should I let you play a bit? I was just getting restless, wanted to see if you were up to going out early..."

He grins, returning the kiss. "Naw.. I'm just foolin' around. What've you got in mind?"

[dame_peri]

"Ummm..." She grins and settles in beside him, and says, "I was thinking there's got to be a fall carnival here somewhere. I'm in the mood for rides. And funnel cakes. And stuff. If you're good with that..."

Peri pauses, regarding him with an easy smile. "And I had to discuss something with you. Nothing bad."

I just hope he's okay with this.

Peri lets him lead the way, and begins to look around. She's surprised at the clerk's comment, and turns toward Tommy Lee, one brow rising. "You did something sneaky..."

When the clerk returns, she starts to laugh delightedly, examining the hat and boots, and trying the hat on to model it. "What do you think? I don't wanna get the boots dusty just yet but I definitely wanna wear this today." She leans in and steals a kiss. "And you, sir, are sweet and full of surprises."

Tommy Lee grins; "I try darlin' girl. I try. I specifically asked him t'get the boots an'the had in 'Fuck me red.' - looks like he got it spot on."

Peri laughs and models the hat with a big smile. "Well, does it scream 'fuck me' or what?" She turns to the clerk and asks, with a wink, "Did he really tell you that? And... anything special I need to do to care for these to keep them in good shape with a boyfriend who has a thing for ripping my clothes off?"

Christ, she's fifteen?

The clerk laughs; "It's exactly what he asked for, Miss. And not really - we can clean the hat for you if it needs it, but it's treated to be pretty waterproof. The boots just need a regular shining, and mink oil in the winter to keep them dry. I put a can of the polish for them in the box."

Tommy grins; "I've got a shinin' kit darlin'. I'll ya how t'take care of 'em."

Peri slides in, belting up, and then raises a leg to get at her Docs. Her fingers work the laces deftly as she answers, "Oh, I dunno, there's this one ride I'm real fond of, it's called 'the Suthrin Fiona Mustache.'" She winks, giggling, and slides the boot off, reaching for one of the new boots.

"Seriously? Anything fast, anything in the air, and bumper cars. Which covers most of it, really. Oh, and I love carnival games. I seriously rock at pitching the balls into the bottles and knocking them over."

He just laughs at the first part of that. "That's /later/, sexpot. An' I swear, I gotta take y'all to a rodeo sometime soon. He grins at her, and reaches out to tickle a foot.

"Well, you asked." At his fingers finding the arch of her foot, Peri squirms and giggles helplessly. "Nooooo! No tickling, damnit, noooo!" She's laughing too hard to really object, though, and doesn't reply until he relents. "A rodeo? Do I get to ride the big spirited bucking stallion?"

Tommy Lee grins; 'Well hell, don't ya got one of those already? Noticed y'all walkin' funny lately.. like ya'd been rode hard..err.. ridden hard."

[dame_peri]

Peri snuggles into his lap and murmurs, "I love being up here. You can see so far... makes me wish I could fly. Someday I want to fly." She nuzzles her cheek to his, lips kissing one eartip gently.

He grins to that, leaning in to kiss an ear and nuzzle her. "Just a bit o'wayfare and you can ya know, darlin'"

Peri nods, "I know... I can jump already, but... I've a bit more to learn." She giggles, mmming as she cuddles in close.

Tommy Lee tilts his hat back a bit, thoughtfully; "I don't even know what I'm gonna pick up next. I was thinkin' mebbe a it of Sovereign, but at th'same time, I've always felt like if ya need that, yer a failure as a leader."
