Web Designer Needed
My parents registered domains for their business. They need web sites designed that are beyond my expertise and desire. I hate chewing code, so if it's not a labor of love I'm not motivated to do it. Also, it takes me forever to get things just right.
My parents' business has been hurting lately. They're not affluent. They don't have a lot of money to spread around. They're also not likely to need Flash and supercool interfaces or 1337 graphics. They know that web design can be costly, and so know that if they get a bargain price they're getting something really special. They don't mind--actually prefer--bartering for services.
They aren't always the easiest people to work with. My mother is computer clueless (I'm being nice). My father knows enough to be dangerous. They will require careful explanation and some handholding.
They are in the business of graphics, and can likely produce their own web graphics. I haven't fully discussed this with them. They are capable, but they might not think so.
If you know someone willing to do some freelance web design, please send me a message. They really could use some help here, and they're not looking for a handout. They just can't afford a big name firm, and I don't know anyone who does site design. I know a lot of people for back end work (PHP, et al), but not the HTML facing.
