I should write a couple of movies.

I've noticed a trend toward stories about divorced people and finding their footing in life again.  I could write that.  I could make a straight drama or a comedic drama.  Hell...I could write a sci-fi or fantasy bent on the theme.  Fullmetal Alchemist deals with similar themes (loss and recovering from tragedy) in ( Read more... )

see, you lost me at Fullmetal Alchemist. Not because FMA is a bad, quite the opposite. I had a moment to sigh contentedly and be happy. For me that show is the perfect blend of drama and comedy. Much like how life tends to be if you look at it. And we always create our best stuff around themes we know the most of. So a divorce drama/comedy would be right up your alley I should think.

The newest story idea I've had, which I don't know how to start yet; it's still in the mix, is about a serial killer, as yet uncaught, integrating himself into the life of an amnesia patient, because he decided that he wants a friend, and is turning away from the killing. Nothing sinister, he just doesn't have very good people skills. Weird, but has potential, I think.

I like the strange stuff. It's fun to write.

Ooooh...I wish I'd thought of that first. That could become a television series, too. It could be a great movie. So much potential!
