About state slogans in the US

If State signs were more truthful.

Very funny.

I added two more about Texas, both of which are true.

Texas - One third the size of Western Australia.

Texas - We're so spiteful when we found out Australia had a farm as big as us. We bought it, split it up and put on the for sale papers that it couldn't be put back together.

I don't get the second one. The first one is cute. You ever been to Texas?

The second is a true event about an Australia Cattle Station which was the size of Texas until some rich Texans found out about it & their egos couldn't cope with it.

Texas - Smaller than New South Wales. Which is one of the smaller states of Australia.

Q: How do you make a Texan cry?
A: Tell him Alaska was split into 2 states.

Dumbass Texans....I've got a cousin who moved there for the nice weather and low taxes, but now he's regretting it because the people are abysmally stupid.

Not to mention their weather is HIDEOUS??? At least it was around Killeen where my friends were stationed!

Well, he's not a big fan of cold weather, and Texas is well-known for the mild winters (as are most southern states in the US).

Mild compared to northeast PA, which is where he lived for a while. How do you define 'hideous'?

Ahh. Killeen must be higher elevation because it had brutally cold winters followed closely by lung-melting hot summers. Neither end of the year was remotely pleasant and there was really no stage between the two extremes from what she said.
