I found another pet peeve, ok well maybe more of an annoyance. People who think they are smart. I don't mean like the typical tech support caller that makes you want to beat your head into your desk until you pass out. I mean people that know enough just to be annoying. Like calling a global computer company's tech support line and acting like

Anyhow ;) I simply had to say I feel your pain with callers who know just enough to be on your nerves in the next five words. I work a technical support for a campus.

I didn't realize this one got through. I am friend locked because people see fit to make fun of others for no particular reason. I figure I don't need that.

For a campus huh? That must me interesting. I get a few campus calls, but normally they aren't too bad.

Perhaps I'm lucky?

I believe the worst call I had was not because of the issue at hand, but simply because the person calling did not understand my walk throughs of "Please point your mouse cursor at the left bottom corner of your screen and left click the word 'Start' to proceed to..."

I spent half an hour walking the lady through the usage of how to get on the internet so she could download plugins necessary to take her online courses. It was tedious, but doable. At least users that don't know anything are easier to deal with than those who tell me "I know how to..." then I have to spend fifteen minutes determining what step they didn't do or did wrong and work around it. ;) You'll find no making fun out of me. I'm often the one being picked on, you'll see.

The worst "quick" call I has was a customer tell me his system was running slow, so he was running system restore, but that was taking to long, so he unplugged the system. Now it won't turn on.
