I pick up the bag worms and toss them in the creek. It's kind of a pity--they're pretty caterpillars in a way, but devastating to trees. I have no idea if I'm doing anything at all by chucking the loose ones, but I do it anyway. So far they haven't infested any of the fruit trees, of which the plum intends to produce, as does the nectarine and
