State of the Muses - Updated 11/27/11
Luceti
character:
markofthewiseseries: Avatar: The Last Airbender
tagging priority: ■■■■■: Usually on top. Sometimes he'll get bumped down (like if I have to use an alt journal), but he's my main more or less.
muse strength: ■■■■■: Solid as ever. He's the one character I can tag with no matter what my mood and still feel IC.
cast strength: ■■□□□: It's gotten smaller lately. I can see that the cast is very much on the decline again, which is a shame. There's not as much enthusiasm among castmates as there is in my other casts, so that's sort of a downer too. I don't feel the same kind of involvement here that I do with the Marvel bunch.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■■: As always, Sokka can be thrown at anything. No problem there.
general fun level: ■■■□□: Sometimes Sokka feels a bit stale. But I kind of feel that way with all of my teens. My tags just don't feel all that exciting. I'm worried that maybe he's just had too much of Luceti and he's just too settled. There's nothing I can do short of canon updating him and that option is right out, because I'm not reverting my icons! I just don't know how to upend his life and make things fresh for him again.
likelihood of drop: □□□□□: Not happening.
character:
onebluebamfseries: X-Men Evolution
tagging priority: ■■■■□: Pretty okay. Sometimes I'm tempted to just derp on them, other times I'll throw myself at him. Kind of mood-dependent.
muse strength: ■■□□□: I think it's getting worse. Some canon review would help, but sometimes I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing with him.
cast strength: ■■■■■: Best Cast. Period. This goes for the extended cast of Avengers folk too. The Thanksgiving log just proves how great this cast is, because everyone was eager to get in there and interact with each other. That? That is amazing. I wish all my casts could be like that.
plotting capabilities: ■■■□□: Having him cut off the Brigade may or may not have been a good thing, but I do feel like it's help propelling him into more of the 'superhero mold' and I keep wanting to push him in that direction. It'll make it easier for him to get involved in stuff to have him be less of a goofy kid and more of a bold mutant elf thing.
general fun level: ■■■□□: So so? It depends on the thread. Some of them I have a blast with, others I just muddle through do to IC issues. I have a hard time making him as fun as he should be.
likelihood of drop: □□□□□: Not gonna happen. Struggles aside, I like what I have here.
character:
gerudokingseries: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
tagging priority: ■■■□□: Sort of chilling out with Thor and under the three teens. He's usually easy to tag with, but I can be lazy about actually logging into him.
muse strength: ■■■■■: I'm PRETTY SURE he is the only whose voice I have no concerns about.
cast strength: ■■■□□: So so. Not really bad or good, but that's mostly because he doesn't have much to do with them. I'm eager for him to meet TWW Link and Medli, though.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: It's hard NOT to plot with Ganondorf, whatchoo talking about. Seriously, I have to avoid getting him too entangled in stuff.
general fun level: ■■■□□: Pretty fun! But again, in small doses. When I have too much of it, I get bored. I like to keep things on the down low. So he goes quiet sometimes. My only concern is how often threads will be over in less than ten tags.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: Not anytime soon. I have places I want to take him still. Plans, I have them.
character:
itsaxingthingseries: Fullmetal Alchemist
tagging priority: ■■■■■: Yeah, highest priority! He's easy to tag with and I almost always enjoy his threads. It's rare to find him in a situation where I'm not enjoying the thread.
muse strength: ■■■■□: Better than before, but I have struggles here and there. It's hard to be IC because I always am encountering situations where I have no canon basis for how he'd react.
cast strength: ■■□□□: It's not that there's anything wrong with the cast (because it's great), it's just I don't necessarily feel like I'm in the cast. He really has nothing to do with a lot of the characters in canon and right now it feels like he's in his own mini-cast with Ran Fan. He rarely threads with castmates unless I'm the one who initiates it, so I could easily mark him as "N/A" here. It doesn't hamper my enjoyment of him, but until Ran Fan showed up, he felt like playing a lone canon warrior most of the time.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Pretty good, actually. I have some plans in mind for him I'm looking forward to putting into motion.
general fun level: ■■■■■: It's pretty hard not to have fun with him.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: He's probably got the potential to be an undroppable character.
character:
thunder_crusherseries: Thor (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
tagging priority: ■■■□□: Kind of on the bottom there with Ganondorf. I enjoy his tags, it's just he has a lot of them and he's not as easy to tag with. It'll be better when his threads mellow out.
muse strength: ■■■■□: Better than it was, though I need another run through of the movie to feel better. What hampers me is when people ask about Asgard and stuff like that. I have a good working knowledge, but not the depth I need sometimes. I can research Norse mythology easy, but having not read the comics, I feel like I fumble because I dunno how the Marvel universe treats these events. The pain of playing a thousand year old character.
cast strength: ■■■■□: Ditto what I said with Kurt, with the stipulation that Thor doesn't really have much to do with all of them. Captain America and Hulk have given him some hints that he should know these people, but he's pretty isolated. And he didn't get Loki.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Shouldn't be too hard, but I haven't had to start plotting yet. He's still getting used to Luceti.
general fun level: ■■■□□: Better than what it was before I apped. Once he was in the game my excitement for playing him tripled, because it was pretty pathetic before. Time will tell how that looks once he's settled in.
likelihood of drop: ■■□□□: I've got my concerns for how sustainable he is, but we'll see. If I can fix my IC problems, I think he'll be fine for awhile.
