China has one of the worlds greatests commitments to climate change in te world.

They have made a commitment to reduce there own emissions on greenhouse by 20% in the year 2007.

They have also introducing a system of tax where if your company is not enviromentaly friendly you pay more tax.

China's abuse of its own environment has forced it to have to address this issue urgently. (they are killing there economy and people)

That's good to know. I'd heard many reports to the contrary, seeing as they're just emerging..fantastic.

i agree wholeheartedly with you. Did you go to the protest on saturday against the nuclear power? i was so glad to see so many people there..no longer is it just the domain of an educated few..more and more people are getting involved and thats awesome. We dont need nuclear power, what we need is to control our population and our materialistic values. The less we procreate and consume the better. Blah blah blah..*explodes*. I'm glad im lactose intolerant and dont eat much meat anyway. But yes..kudos to you for producing such an interesting post!!
Much love

i'm proud to see another of my intelligent friends grab this incredibly important issues by the horns and prepare to do as much good as is possible for it.

i wrote such a ridiculously long response to this post thta i was afrain comment limit was going to cut me off, so i'm going to put is as my own post on this account instead.

suffice to say, i'm with you, we have to start doing whatever we can bout this now. even if it is just in out own small ways. count me into your discussion/hopefully-action group as soon as i get back, and kudos for talking about it. it is ours and our kids' futures after all, if we really can't think about it in an unselfish way.

"On the evolution thing, we've only exploded on the world stage relatively recently, and we are the biggest fuck ups the earth has ever seen. An anomaly, you might say. No wonder there was no controlling factor on us."

connor, you're awesome. i agree...)
