global warming and sexuality (actually nothing to do with global warming)

Lately I've been realising how many assumptions people make about anyone who isn't heterosexual and generally mainstream when it comes to sexuality. Yes, everyone claims to be unprejudiced and accepting. But then little things come out in people's conversations that just make me so sad ( Read more... )

*my 2 cents*

preach it sister.

It is my opinion that people who have worked through there sexuality. I am not sure how to put it any other way. whether that is to be poly like me or bi, gay, lesbian etc have faced social bias in themselves and as such have no need to be inhibated when it comes to discussing the issue.

I think that the social norm sees this as being promiscus because they dont want to face their own sexuality issues. So they judge those they dont understand.

I not sure if this will sound right so give me the benifit of the doubt before you flame my sorry ass.

If you are a slut that is a sexuality choice and it should be respected as much as being a one person for life sexuality choice.

We define ourselves by our actions and choices. Respct those choices in others and the world would be a lot nicer place.

heh, i'm poly too. i didn't mean to imply that monogamy is the only way to go. and yes i suppose it is a lifestyle choice to be a slut, but i personally don't want to be labelled that way. i'm happy to have a number of simultaneous relationships, but the key for me is that they all need to be meaningful.

And I think everyone should respect your choice because you are you fullstop.

I am curious why you dont like being refered to as a slut.
Are you bias against that sexuality choice? (is ment for deep reflection not as a jab)

Peace
