This is how it's been...
Hi all,
I'm Serena and I'm new here. I just moved into this apartment complex in Oregon about a month ago. I found it and my roomie on craigslist and she's an international student from Taiwan. Recently, she left for two weeks to go to NY and I've been enjoying having the place to myself.
Over this past weekend I found out I have a kidney infection so I've been kind of upset lately and have spent the night at my mom's house two nights in a row - once on Sunday night and once on Monday night. Well. Tuesday morning.. I was walking up to my apartment from the garage and was looking through the kitchen window. Guess what I saw? Some guy standing in front of the open fridge wearing only underwear.
I was pretty out of it and it was 7 am in the morning so I was tired, too. I figured it was just someone else's reflection off of another apartment. I went inside, and there was no one in the fridge anymore .. but there were noises coming from the back room - my roommate's room. All of a sudden, this guy, also an international student (but from China), comes walking toward me. He's also fully clothed now.
He started telling me how he's my roomie's bf and that he didn't know where I was and was sorry, blah blah blah...
Basically, he hasn't left me alone since then. It's now Thursday night and I've been having to listen to him asking to take me out to lunch every day and, "Oh, can I have your number?" I thought about giving him a fake one but realized that probably wasn't a good idea because he said, "Oh, let me try it so you know it's me..." ::sigh::
He seems to think we're going to be 'great friends'. I've informed him of my decision to move out and he keeps trying to convince me to stay here and 'work it out'. Um, no thanks, you haven't been here and oh, btw, this is my life.
This guy is 23, I think.. and I don't even know his name! I mean I think it might be Nan or something.. who knows!
Yeah my roommate apologized but, it wasn't really an apology.. more like "Yup, he's my bf, if that's a problem for you... oh well" AGHHH!
This guy is so freaking annoying! I mean, I come home from working two part time jobs and he hasn't moved from his room where plays little computer games all day! I don't get it.
His story is that the dorms at the UofO won't let him move in until the 11th... so he's stuck here. Several people at housemate_horror have told me to kick him out but.. I don't think I can technically do that since his name is still on the lease from a long time ago.
I'm trying to move before the manager notices and makes me sign it. Meanwhile, I'm also stuck with doing ALL the fricking cleaning!
When I read the ad on craigslist originally, I was under the impression that she was a 'clean and organized' person who 'likes to cook'. NOT TRUE! I haven't seen her cook anything hardly.. I mean, she hardly even eats either! And she weighs herself every day.. not kidding at all.
The bathroom was worse than anything you've ever seen when I moved in. Like, mold in the toilet, orange stains around the base.. it was NASTY. I even thought about taking pictures but was too much in a hurry to get it cleaned.
I swear, though, ever since I moved in, I've been the ONLY one to clean the bathroom. It pisses me off. The most she does to 'clean' is shampoo the carpets. Wow. Big whoop. I've asked her before to help me keep the bathroom clean and wash her hair off the sides of the shower (b/c it ends up in a big 'ol clump in the drain) but she won't do it!
I don't want to be the 'mean girl' either, like one other girl said.. but come on. Cleanliness is a responsibility too and this is something she's been telling ME to do (take responsibility, I mean). Teach, never preach girl! UGH!
Anyone understand where I'm coming from?
