Ugh. I have a new roommate this semester (I was supposed to have a single but they are closing one of our dormitory buildings for renovations) and my new roommate is Amish/Quaker and my room now smells like a barn. I can't take it. Ugh. I don't know how to nicely tell her that she fucking stinks.

There's a world of difference between Amish and Quaker.

Maybe just keep your windows open?

Does your school have a wait-list for single rooms?

I wasn't saying using the two words interchangably. I just wasn't sure which one she is exactly because some of her friends tell me she's Amish and some others tell me she's Quaker. So I dunno~ We don't really talk.

I can't really keep my window open in -22 degree weather. D; Plus I've tried it and once I close it the smell creeps back.. >_>

Aw, I'm sorry. I'm from NY state, so I know how it is. Although my school kept the dorms SO warm I would usually have the windows open anyway. But I don't remember it being that cold when I was in college.

I always here stories about how college roommates ask each other to be bridesmaids in their weddings and stuff, but I had ONE roommate, my freshman year, and we didn't really talk much, either. We were respectful of each other's stuff and picked up the room when our things started to encroach everywhere, but we were far from best friends.

And no, there's no wait list. It's like a "lottery". But I was told I was getting one, but they played me. =_=
