My last roommate and I got along great. There were a few things that annoyed me about her, but I suspect that anyone would be annoyed at someone who lived just four or five feet away from them. I ranted about it on LJ, moved on, and appreciated her for what she was - a great person and friend ( Read more... )

I had a roommate in college that had a 3 song playlist that she left on all. the. time. I'm talking from the time she woke up for crew practice (5:30-6am) until she went to sleep (11pm). Every. single. day.

That's how it's turning out now. She painstakingly told me that she's turning off the music for MY benefit when she goes to sleep (poor thing), but she doesn't go to bed till 2 or 3 AM, and woke up today at 6:30. The first thing she did is turn on her music. Shocking.

Oh and I woke up last night to her friends barging in the room. When she told them to keep quiet cause I was sleeping, one of them loudly commented "Why the hell is she in bed so EARLY?!" I wasn't aware that 11 - 12 was early on a Sunday. Ugh.

headphones, she may have heard of them. Also, my roommate got this cool little pillow that has a speaker in it that plugs into her ipod. I think these may be reasonable suggestions to bring up to your roommate. She has other options than annoying the shit out of you while spinning the divas.

Those are good ideas that I'll probably bring up if we ever get the chance to say more than two words to each other. Thanks! =) It's not even her playing music while she's in the room - it's when she leaves that it annoys me. Why play music when you're not there to listen to it? This confuses me!

yeah, if I were you I'd ask if I could turn it off when I noticed she left it on and wasn't home.
