In my RSS feed I have a bunch of photography, art and style blogs. One thing increasingly stands out and bothers me: I miss film. Now, I haven't shot on film in a long time. I know what you mean. I made the switch to digital so long ago because it's so much more convenient and definitely cheaper, but I recently went through some boxes of old stuff and found a bunch of black and white photos from photography class. It made me really nostalgic. I remember the days when I would take a whole roll of film and then develop it and pick out the best pictures to make prints. I remember the comforting darkness of the darkroom and the smell of the chemicals. Sadly, I would probably have to relearn a lot it. You're right, digital (even with the filters) can never capture the same thing.
