It was a good thing that Harvey had refused to go to the greenhouse.
The soldiers rushing into the Sun Room in formation was enough to distract him from Lana rather soundly, but it was seeing the raving man as he stalked through the room that really struck Harvey.
It took him a second or two to believe that it was the Head Doctor in the flesh, but the suit -- and more than that, the voice -- made it clear. Granted, the man was being far more shrill in that moment than he ever was over the intercom, and for a while Harvey had just been stunned

How completely and utterly fascinating. For all of his and Braniac 5’s debating over lunch, neither of them could have supposed that the oncoming change would be quite so immediate- that night, perhaps, or tomorrow, but certainly not next shift. Lunge had been in the Sun Room at the time, reading through the pages of Lelouch’s notes- there nothing in there from more recently than last week, but there were doctor’s names and notes on clubs, so few of which seemed to remain still- but the sound of a heavier tread was what caught his attention.
The sudden influx of soldiers made him put the notes down. The shifting of nurses made him pause. And then the bang of the doors made him stop and outright stare, because storming into the room was Martin Landel himself

It wasn't long before Lunge showed up, but what stood out was that the man was actually just as shocked as Harvey was. That mirthless smile was returned with one of his own as he shook his head, slowly starting to work his bandages off of his face even while he grabbed for the vitamin shake that had been provided for him

Yes, one did have to wonder. Lunge hadn't considered that yet- why they hadn't made the move earlier- but in fairness he'd had a lot of new information to sift through and not a lot of time to do it in, during his walk back from the Sun Room

It was hard to imagine that the place wouldn't have been monitored. This was a mental institute that was housing at least a hundred patients, after all. And seeing how Landel was, Harvey couldn't understand why anyone in a higher position would have trusted him. Then again, it was the military; they likely had better things to be doing

Dent seemed to share his opinion of the general- though that wasn't difficult, given how little they'd seen or heard of the man up until this point. There wasn't that much to go on but a few scant orders and Landel and Marc's reactions to his arrival; even assuming the order to gas the cafeteria had been direct from him, all he could say thus far was that he seemed a precise, highly organised man with, as the Head Doctor had suggested, little patience for disobedience. The sort of man who commanded respect.
The same could be said of any 'general' out there. What he needed was a voice, a face, anything that he might get his nails just a little further under the man's skin

The last thing Harvey wanted was to have to deal with that IRIS system all night again. While he knew that it wasn't logical to have a vendetta against a computerized system, all he could remember about the last time was how he'd heard Rachael's voice through the intercom speakers, surrounding him with a memory he did not want to relive
( ... )
Either-or seemed to be the best they could manage as far as predictions went, and that was good enough for now. It was very early days yet. They had time to wait and watch in.
In regards to Landel's location, meanwhile, Dent did have a few potentially useful possibilities to offer, and Lunge tilted his head in interest. "In town?" Hmm. If that were the case, would it be possible to get there and find him? He didn't know of anyone who'd traveled to Doyleton on foot and at night to boot, but with the rings- L's supposedly took its user to the hardware store.
But they didn't know that Landel would be there and since using the ring likely had hidden drawbacks, they'd have to walk all the way there along the road to check to spare the extra danger. And who knew how long that would take, or what sort of danger they would be walking into? He was willing to take risks, but only if he could be relatively sure of a payoff.
Hmm. "It's impossible to say. If he is somewhere reachable, I doubt they'd leave him totally open." There was still,

Harvey agreed that it wasn't like they would be able to just walk up to the man and start chatting with him. He'd be under lockdown -- or he'd actually been relocated to a location that would be too far for them to reach. Still, Doyleton was always a possibility, though he couldn't imagine where he could have been kept other than the sheriff's office.
Today was Thursday, though, wasn't it? So they wouldn't have to wait too long. "We'll be heading into town in a couple days, so you can always go on a search then. Well, if we even go now." It was possible that the soldiers wouldn't deem them worthy of getting to go on the field trip, after all. And even if they did go, he wouldn't be surprised if they had an armed escort everywhere they went.
If anything, the townspeople would have had to worry about the soldiers themselves more than the patients, but they already had a bad reputation at this point. They weren't the zombies in this equation, but
