Awkwaaaaaaaard. After about five minutes of radio silence from the intercom, Peter was expecting to hear some heavy mouth breathing or other inappropriate stalker sound effects. Instead they heard nothing. And they continued to hear nothing until twilight hit

After he'd thoroughly finished cleaning every last scrap of food from his bowl, Snow took the chance to search through the furniture and closet on his side of the room. He wasn't spending another moment in that stupid uniform if he could help it, but there needed to actually be something to change into if he was taking it off. All that was in the room were those smiling, gray clothes they were supposed to wear before. ... It was a better option than the button shirt he was wearing now. He changed from the button shirt to the smiling gray one, deliberately wearing it inside out in a weird sort of rebellion. He was wearing it as a shirt, not as a way to sport their stupid mascot. So he wasn't going to wear it that way.
He decided to keep the pants and boots since they were actually more normal feeling than the older ones, but he removed the belt so they were less tight and rigid and more, you know, NOT-uniform-y. Add on the weird brown coat and black gloves he'd found, and he almost felt normal. Not that a ( ... )

Once she'd stepped into this hall, it didn't take long for Lightning to no longer have to look any more- Snow cut a pretty distinctive figure even in the dark, which was certainly helped along by the way he too had chosen to alter his clothing for the night. It actually didn't cross his mind at all to ask why Zack had come along. For all he cared, both of them could have just left it be without any explanations and he would have just gone along with it, no questions asked. Zack had already said he knew Lightning, right? So what was weird about him walking around with her? It was only natural.
What he did find strange, though, was that they were going to bring ( ... )

Not willing to just stand around and talk like what had been the group from the night before's downfall though, she took a half-step backwards, ready to try and get them moving again as soon as possible. Truthfully, it was annoying enough that she'd had to come that far down the hall at all.
"If I could pronounce his name I'd tell you," she answered, flat but loud enough that it likely carried all the way down the corridor. "But we're not taking him with us." At least, she definitely didn't plan on it. Kibitoshin hadn't seemed the type who would want to tag along with someone like her, anyway, especially if he was willing to pass off ( ... )
