The entrance into the ballroom was much higher than that of the closet, but after falling over a fair amount of trees, building edges, volcanoes and ships, it was about time Sync learned some kind of technique for landing. And land he did, crouching so that most of the fall could be absorbed by his feet before his knee pressed into the ballroom's floor. The bout of nausea that was becoming more familiar hit him like a wave, but he quickly recovered before he proceeded to his next move.
Out of reflex more than anything, the God-General immediately threw his arms out and caught the other teen. The last thing he needed was for Erika to gain some sort of concussion before they even got started. For all he knew, that could trigger that annoying paranoia she was giving off last night.
Surprisingly, Erika hadn't put two and two together and realize that the fall from the ballroom would be much, much higher than simply falling into a room. Although she didn't scream, the detective's eyes widened and she reached out, trying to find anything to break her fall

In return, Sync only smirked when Erika pushed him away to rearrange her clothing. He was used to taking up thankless jobs, so as long as the latter did her part then he couldn't care less if she actually appreciated his efforts.
"Already on it." Just as he said this he leaned over, sliding a portion of his forearm over the blade of the katana she'd drawn out. Almost immediately blood began to leak from the wound, and he was quick to catch a drop into the shattered jewel of the ring. What came next was just what he'd expected, the stone reforming itself until there was no trace of it ever being broken.
With their efforts successfully proven, there'd be no need for them to ever endure the tedious trip to get to their destination.
