And just like that, it was dawn. Byrne had simply been sitting in Badd's room when the intercom came on and everything went black. He didn't even get the chance to hear the whole story. Damn. Was this blacking out and waking up in your room thing normal at the end of every night? The night before last, he thought he'd passed out because of that scorpion's venom, but if the same thing happened again when he was perfectly fine...hm. He'd have to keep that in mind.
Well. At least this time he didn't wake up flailing his limbs around like a maniac.
He found the morning heavily confusing anyway, sudden awakening or not. What's with the sudden road trip, and the normal clothes and money and...generosity? Were these guys just looking for every new way to blow Byrne's expectations away? They were certainly doing a fine job of it. But hey, he wasn't complaining. This day already looked like it would be more productive than the past few, especially now that he had a hold of the situation
