[from here] Her feet touched the second floor, and she paused, motionless in the dark as her ears strained around her. This was the first place to be wary of. Multiple times this area had been dangerous--and the hall right past it moreso. She listened, carefully, waiting. No sound other than the creaks and sounds of the night came back to her. She relaxed moderately, fingers adjusting on the knuckle on her hand.
There were a few places to go, and she would prefer to start in the middle. She stepped to the side of the stairwell, back against the wall, and eyed the halls stretching out in different directions. She was curious, as well, of the chapel, and if the statue was still there. Despite there being no gain from the act, she would move on that.
