It may have simply been the fact that he was distracted and imagining things, but Klavier could have sworn there had been a small additional click when the doors unlocked. Though whether it came from the doors or elsewhere couldn't really be determined. It could have just been Herr Kommandant switching off the intercom. Speaking of which, the man's silence was worrisome. Normally, Herr Doktor would make some stupid comment or try to issue threats. Their new "caretakers" tended to be a little more specific than that.
