Oh. A fight. Badd could just barely recognize the man he'd met at the candy store, as well as two strangers. Nobody he knew, nobody he cared about.
"Let 'em duke it out, let's keep going," he said, trying to urge Byrne along. "If they don't cut it out the institute will snap them back in the morning anyway."

Byrne could've mumbled a bunch of colorful words about how ridiculous the sight was, but all he ended up saying was something along the lines of 'how nice'. Whatever. Badd was right, it was better to slip past them. No need to get involved in their business.
