Varying opinions aside about the new caretakers, the efficiency of the military was worthy of some admiration. The Great Escape ended with minutes to spare, and the staff wasted no time in dismantling the equipment in the Sun Room. The last shift hadn't been very eventful, but it had at least been productive for Rita. Using the paper supplied in the Arts and Crafts Room, she created half a dozen heraldry talismans - strips of paper with heraldic crests drawn on them in ink. Using those, she could cast heraldry spells with ease, and if she needed to, she could discard the slips of paper after using them.

Though she was hungry, Rita didn't give her food any consideration. Instead, she retrieved her nightshift equipment and began organizing her belonging for the coming night. Her backpack was set on her bed, and her radio was stuffed inside. A pair of rolled-up talismans were placed in an outer pocket for easy access. Her flashlight and chain belt were set next to it, and her portal ring was slipped onto her finger.

With those preparations finished, the mage made her way over to her closet to see what the military decided to leave for her to wear outside.

The day had passed by quickly. Kairi, despite not wanting to admit it to herself, was glad that she had not received a visitor that day. What would she had done, if she had seen someone who wore the face of someone she cared for? What if she saw Selphie, or perhaps Tidus? Or ... what if she had seen Axel? Honestly, if she had seen the redhead, she ... wouldn't have known what to do. She wouldn't know what to feel.

She missed her friend dearly. They had been extremely close, after all; how could she not?

Sighing to herself as she entered her room with her plate of food in tow, Kairi gave Rita a quick smile before watching the "nurse" leave the room. Once they were gone, she turned to her fellow redhead and tilted her head to the side. "What are you looking for?"

When Kairi entered, Rita poked her head out of the closet briefly, just to confirm it was her roommate and not someone else, then returned to her search. It wasn't long before she found what she was looking for. She took the military uniform, complete with the leather jacket, and brought it out with her.

"These," came her simple reply to Kairi's question. She set the articles of clothing on her bed, then immediately started undressing, beginning with her sweatpants. "Both of the uniforms they give us here are hideous, but this one offers a little more protection." The leather jacket, at least, was thick enough to be of some use in that area.

Watching as Rita continued to dig through her closet, Kairi tilted her head when she pulled out the other uniform - as well as the leather jacket that went with the uniform. "Oh," she said simply, watching as the girl moved out of her closet and suddenly began to shed her clothing.

Turning her head quickly, the princess poked at her food, nibbling on french fry as she waited for Rita to change. It was impolite to watch someone while they changed, so she gave the other redhead her privacy.

"What are you doing tonight that you need extra protection?" Kairi asked her, still keeping her eyes down. She only hoped Rita didn't think she was too prying - she was truthfully interested. "I mean ... I suppose it's always good to have extra protection even if nothing exciting is going on, considering where we are, but you never know."

Oh, that reminded her. "Did you have a visitor today, by the way?" she added quickly. "I didn't, but it's always ... interesting to hear about what other people are shown."

Rita didn't pay much attention to Kairi, as she didn't care too much whether the other girl saw her body or not. Having grown up alone, the mage never developed much of a sense of shame or modesty. The only time she did mind being seen undressed was if it was some old man ogling her, or something annoying like that. Still, situations like those could easily be resolved with a little violence ( ... )
